Social Impact Initiatives with AFFECT
At AFFECT we understand that makeup is not just about products – it is a tool for visibility, self-expression, and confidence. That’s why we support social impact initiatives that truly make a difference in women’s lives. For several years now we have proudly supported the Koronacja project by Beata Bojda, an artistic and social initiative that originated in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, and has redefined perceptions of femininity for women affected by cancer.
Koronacja blends art fashion photography and film with real humanitarian support. The project emerged from the personal experience of its creator Beata Bojda, who began by designing floral crowns and stylized outfits for women undergoing cancer treatment or recovery. Portraits from these sessions were transformed into exhibitions, calendars, and albums whose proceeds support medical care and recovery for participants.
More than visual symbols, the elaborate floral crowns represent stories of strength resilience and self-love. The images remind women that femininity and beauty are not defined by hair loss scars or surgical changes but by the courage to face life with a lifted head and open heart. Through these portraits Koronacja has become a platform for raising awareness about self-care and early detection.
The third edition in 2025 took place at Willa Sixta – BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Bielsko-Biala where photo exhibitions featured ambassadors such as Urszula Dudziak Weronika Książkiewicz Janina Ochojska and Dagmara Gregorowicz. A highlight of the project was the premiere screening of the film “Miłowanie,” Beata Bojda’s directorial debut, adding cinematic depth to the exhibition story. The event warmly welcomed the community and visitors to reflect on narratives of strength life and love.
For AFFECT, with our roots in the Beskidy region, this project resonates deeply. We are honored to be a continuing partner of Koronacja, supplying professional makeup that empowers project participants during their portrait sessions. Makeup here serves not as a mask but as a form of artistic expression that complements each woman’s personal story, enhancing presence and confidence in every frame.
Beyond art the project serves as a social platform promoting health education psychological support and early cancer screening awareness. Each edition includes calendars and publications that not only celebrate women’s journeys but also help generate funds for ongoing support. Through exhibitions and global media coverage these stories reach far beyond Poland, inspiring women everywhere to embrace strength and self-care.
As a brand that actively contributes to social change initiatives we are proud to see Koronacja grow every year. This project is more than an exhibition – it is a narrative of visibility empowerment and unwavering courage that we are committed to supporting at every step.
